![]() ![]() Via: Instagram/ the race to break the 4GHz GPU clock speed barrier, last week, Splave was able to reach a clock speed of 3,945 MHz with the same card, but his record was broken by another overclocker named Cens who was able to take the Colorful 4090 iGgame Lab to 3975MHz on LN2. Splave shared the achievement on his Instagram calling it “No big deal,” once again proving that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 is the undisputed king of consumer graphics cards. The ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 was able to pass the GPUPi 32B 3.3 test at 4005 MHz as well as the GPUPi 1B 3.3 test at 4020 MHz. RELATED: The Best RTX 4090 Gaming LaptopsĪfter multiple tests from different overclockers, Allen Golibersuch, better known as ‘Splave,’ was able to break the 4GHz barrier for the first time ever, achieving a new world record. However, as is common with these extreme overclocking sessions, the default cooling system was replaced by a Kingpin Cooling TEK-9 Icon Extreme GPU pot designed to be used with liquid nitrogen or LN2. It comes with an all-in-one liquid cooling system with a 360mm radiator out of the box. The Asus ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 has not been released to the public just yet but professional overclockers have been putting it through the paces. This achievement from Splave comes just a few hours after another overclocker reached 3975 MHz using an RTX 4090 from Colorful. Of course, normal cooling solutions would fall behind with this amount of heat, so the clock speeds were reached under liquid nitrogen, a common practice in the overclocking space. He was able to overclock the Asus ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 beyond 4GHz, a feat that has been impossible to achieve till now with any GPU. ![]() The GPU overclocking game has reached a new level with the latest world record set by renowned overclocker Allen 'Splave' Golibersuch. ![]()
